GIMP CLIPPING MASKS

In this wonderful tutorial, we're going to make a clipping mask using brushes and GIMP.
We will be working with a picture of this sheep ;

1. Make a new layer ( Layer - New Layer ) and add in some brushes. I'll be using splatter brushes.

2. On your layer module ( CTRL + L ), by your new layer, click on the eye. This will hide your layer.
After that, go to Edit - Copy Visible and unhide your new layer by clicking on the empty spot where the eye was.

Once you've done all that, right click on your layer and select "Alpha To Selection".

3. Your brush layer should still be highlighted. Go to Edit - Paste Into.
If you've successfully done this, your image should be filled in to your brushes.
With the Move Tool, move it around until you are completely satisfied with your new clipping mask.

Here's my ending result ;

You can't really see it too well, but it is there. It works best if there is a white background.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)
