Same, I hope my kids turn out straight. My orientation is straight, and I don't know if it's innate or not, so I don't know the other side.

There's no need for harsh penalties or whatever. I don't really care about it, because what goes on behind closed doors is not my business.

Being gay has nothing to do with being healthy or successful, which is why you never hear it..
being gay is part of your personality.. People don't wish certain things about their kids personality, at least not in my experience

Virre said it well, it's like saying that one sexuality is better than the other. Success is better than failure, but you can't say that gay is better than straight.

homosexuality is actually a choice for most...and it has been proven that guys with very little testasterone are alot of the times gay.

Doesn't that rather point to homsexuality not being a choice?

Could you direct me to the study that was done proving that guys with little testosterone are mostly gay? That was a pretty vague statement. Even if that was the case, i'm sure there are gay guys out there with plenty of testosterone. And plenty of heterosexual men with low testosterone levels.
I don't believe you can choose who you're attracted to. I think that sexual orientation is due to environmental, physiological and biological factors. So there might be different reasons that make a person gay, but I've never heard of a person choosing to be gay, rather, choosing to come out and reveal they were gay, or realizing that they are gay. So for most people, in fact, probably for all gay people, their sexual orientation wasn't a choice. Can you choose who you find attractive? I don't think so.

    But you just said otherwise.
These people often describe it as they have been born in the wrong bodies. It isn't a choice, it's something you're born with. Just like you can't say that you chose the length of your arm.

i know you cant choose it its just that most of the people go through what is called an "experimental state"

They go through what we call experimental. We labeled it as such, doesn't mean thats what it is. If you look at childhood, boys mingle with boys and girls with girls only. Its natural to have this happen later on too.

I don't really care about that stuff. People can do whatever they want with their lives.

There are some people who choose to be gay. They're not really. they're just trying to be different. They aren't really attracted to the same sex, they just say they are to get attention.
but if you're actually gay, you don't choose it, it just IS. you can choose to accept it, or you can choose to deny it and pretend to be attracted to the opposite sex

other than environment allowing you (to varying degrees) to act the way you truly are, i dont see how environment would effect sexual orientation. Usually environment makes homosexuals act straight and live their lives in denial.

Good question, and please edit your post instead of double posting. Although you might get away with it since it posted on the next page.
Although it isn't the only thing, i think it is an underlying factor, along with biological and physiological factors that contribute to making a person gay.

I think that should give you the answer you're looking for. Especially under the Social, sociological section. It has some pretty interesting evidence that supports that homosexuality isn't just based on genetics.
So there are three factors that are thought to work together, to produce a homosexual person: Biological, phsiological, and environmental.

You might want to read that as well.

It is one of the best know war techniques. Who are you going to protect more? Just another soldier, or the love of your life?

Of course they couldn't show this in the film :)
