In my honest opinion Halo is the greatest game to ever reach any console... the graphics are beautiful for H1, H2, and H3 for their time. Halo pretty much created the basics of the FPS.... so yes its totally worth it. I don't so much play the game for campaign as I do for multiplayer.... a lot of maps and a lot of skilled people to play against which makes the game even more enjoyable. Buying it would be one of the best gaming decisions you could ever make
I would definitely say yes, but not if you're looking for a ridiculous amount of replay value. Halo 1 and 2 are the better ones of the series, in my opinion, because the campaign modes are far more challenging. Halo 3 I would get solely for the Live portion of the game, mostly because of the new weapons, add-ons, the Theater (you can record games, take screenshots, etc.), and the Forge (you can customize your own games, including spawn points, exploding barrels, etc.). That's not to say Halo 3's campaign is bad - for me, it was just a bit of a letdown because I went straight to playing legendary and beat it in 15 hours (I was honestly expecting more gameplay x_x). The graphics in Halo 3, of course, are also quite beautiful. All-in-all, I'd say it's a great series, and as long as you're into FPS games and sci-fi type things, you'll probably enjoy it a lot.
I like it but it gets boring unless you get live. I haven't tried halo 3 tho, so i dunno about that one

The Halo series are decent games, but it is the Multiplayer in which they shine. Personally, I really enjoyed the campaign in all three Halo games, but all the real fun is to be had in multiplayer, online, system link, a bunch of friends in the same room, multiplayer is a blast!
ive beaten 1 and 2 on legendary and it is such an awesome game.i think its even better co-op my friends come over and we drink beer and play halo, its really a lot of fun
I've never been able to tackle legendary on my own! Its insanely hard for me, but with online co-op, its still hard, but I swear the fun doubles with ever person you bring with you! Its nice that you get the achievements even on co-op, to.
I have a friend who played halo in some state-wide competition, he took third. The only time I ever played was when he was kicking all of our butts. I think if I could win once in a while it would be a lot better, but I got beat so bad I didnt even want to play anymore
Halo is fun, but i much prefer to play FPS's on my PC not on a console. I suppose with more practice it would be ok, but i dunno i just never got into them.
1 i have yet to play, 2 i awesome and worth every penny 3 is that great i played online for 2 weeks before even attempting solo, which is also brilliant
