Anyone playing a private server?

Yeah i'm on a v60 private server.
It's just GMS with everything handed to you.
Not much fun IMO since I got bored of GMS a loooonnnnnnnnng time ago.
But good times when i'd get home and play all night...

My friend created his own server so I played along with him..I got to be a GM and could edit the server database to make my weapon have 9999WA.

A GM's really cool tho, since you never can experience it outside a private server.. :tehe:

I've played on a private server. It didn't have 4th jobs, but the xp rate was insane.
Private Servers are good for testing out what you want. I don't want to level a character to change them.

 

when i played private server, i saw the whole purpose of neopets, its not even the game, its just chatting lol. private server is nothing, you accomplish nothing, you might as well make a lvl400 character b/c its pointless anyways.

 

i used to play Angerfist MS i was a GM but i abused it so yay...........lol

 

I played a private server once but it was extremely boring since it was basically just a test program to get all your skills and see how cool they look.

Now if they were actually something similar to the real game only with better and more player friendly enhancements. Say if the GMs were on every week to throw an event where the players got to gain valuable things.

 

Look up FinalStory. The exp and stuff is enhanced but it's still the same game. GMs on every day and Events every day. Go to www.finalstory.org.

 

i love trying out the private servers in maple story. it gives me a chance to see and feel what it is like to be a high level without having to grind train. it is a good experience if you want to get into maple story.

 

I played one before but either the server wasn't good enough or it's just the distance between the server and me (most servers are in the states) I usually end up getting like 1-2s response which really made me irritated. I did try making my own private server before (odinMS) but somehow after setting it up (I can run everything, etc) I couldn't get past a certain map to get to the maps in the original game, so I basically couldn't be bothered with it anymore and just deleted everything that I installed (sql server and whatever else there was).

Although now I do feel interested in setting up a private server of my own again since its the holidays and maybe now there's a better guide/files or something. Anyhow playing on localhost is always better since there's no lag at all.

 

Ah, private servers. I use to have one of my own, it got really boring and time consuming updating the server and all I shut it down. I still go on regular maple sometimes though. (78 Marauder)

 

I used to help develop the Private servers......nothing big just NPCs and furthering the PVP system.....Nobody uses V.57 anymore so I quit.

V.55 and .57 are the only stable sources ATM.

 

i thought the only stable private servers were V.55 and V.62

 

I used to play MeMS and some other private servers ages ago.

 

.62 isn't very stable atm i don't think it even has a localhost........ .57 was stable but it was dropped almost as quickly as it started, I have a test server that is using .57 but I just use it for kicks=)

 

I WOuld like to try a private server .

when i did play a few months back i switched back and forth so that i could see what each class could do and the one i liked most is the one i chose to play lol ranger then made a pirate when they first came out

 

I used to play on HitsuMS not sure if it's still up though..

 

i play private servers now cuz GMS made me bored about 2 years ago =P but i get banned quickly cuzi get boired and start hacking XD im pretty sure i have been banned on more then 50 ps (lame)
