I was just wondering if anyone has heard of it there was a women in CT that was brutally attacked by a pet chimp she had been in a hospital in CT but was just transeferred yesterday to Cleavland to have a face transplant. I feel horriable for the chimps owner she had him since she lost her husband and the chimp had been like her child but who would keep a chimp in a residental area it just freaks me out

The chimp was not normal, though. The woman had been feeding it starbucks and on the day it attacked the lady, the owner had given it some anti-depression medication. No idea why o.0

I dont know why people have pets like these. they are wild animals, they are not meant to be a pet.

To play the devil's advocate, all pets were originally wild animals. We domesticated them, so we could domesticate monkeys until they became a "common house pet", but it would be ridiculously expensive.

But I completely agree, stupid idea. Monkeys are cute though, I'd probably keep one as a pet, wouldn't be the first stupid thing I've done while knowing it was stupid...
giving it star bucks and anti-depressants is just effed up though, shes lucky she didn't kill it

Yeah i agree they are domesticated pets could be considered wild but the fact they are domesticated makes it okay to have them in the house. The only way i would see having a monkey as a pet if the whole population of mokey's were domesticated but i don't think that were to happen.

I got chase by a group of monkeys before.
I was hanging out with my friends at some park, and the monkeys came down from a tree and chase me and my friends.
One of my friends wetted his pants. :D

I dont get it, why is this incident so big..
=/ its unusual yea, but hardly this newsworthy.

I think it strikes a chord within man's fear of the wild =p
of being alone to the whim of nature.
In our civilised and tame world this 'attacks' remind us that we once were stepping toe to toe with tigers and chimps..

    haha interesting
