I am on server 25. Ranked top 400 of 20k ppl or so and in the top 10 alliance. I rejected joining the #1 alliance cause not many ppl like them. I plan on try to sell the account later

Their advertisements I've been seeing everywhere. And first it used to be "Save the Queen" ads, with some CGI Queen with her cleavage showing. But now they're not even trying, they've just got a huge pair of decolletage in the ad, saying "Join now!" I thought that was amusing.
The ads have been getting even worse, I've even heard people make fun of them on gaming podcasts. They're basically just pictures of topless models, with little to no mention of a game now. If this works, they probably just laugh their way to the bank. Is the game itself even solid?
The one I saw that made me start was a picture of a mid-evil knight. I must be a weird one cause I clicked on the knight and not the hot babe. :lol: Actually I never saw one with a cleavage showing model. I play cause it passes the time better than Neo I think, it's something new and I am a lot higher up in the ranks on Evony than the ranks of Neo

Sad thing is that I've actually seen every single one of those ads. I need to get off the internet. To be completely honest, once I saw the "Save the Queen" ad, I decided never to play the game. Any site that uses ads like that to draw players is probably not going to have the kind of crowd that I would thrive in (no offence meant to anyone who plays. Unless you play only because of the fact that there was a sexy computer-girl in the ad. In which case, shame on you! Just go find pr0n or something). It puts me in mind of the joke about getting to the afterlife and receiving access to your 72 virgins, only to find that they were all WOW players in a previous life and were only female in the game.
That in probably the funniest list to go through to get ppl to play. I love playing it, I always like Age of Empires and it's exactly like that, but online, so I have no problem with it, but those ads just get more and more funny. I am pretty sure I saw the first ad cause I never saw any of the other ones....ever, well except now.
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but they're missing that one ad with the twins on it. [...] I have an account, but I stopped playing with 5 minutes of the game because it was a complete waste of time to me.
I really don't like how they advertise their game. It's almost like a subliminal message to get you to click on the banner... very bad and false leading. And no, I have not, and probably never will play Evony.
