I recently made an Account Cracker and I have some problems/questions about account cracking in general:

    1. It seems that Neo will lock your IP out of logging into ANY account after a number of failed logins on multiple usernames. Confirm/Deny?

    2. What are the best parts of the site for grabbing usernames?

    3. Is account cracking still viable? Explain.

(Please remove if this is against rules :X)

I believe TNT doesn't lock your IP on checking accounts, however, I'm not sure.

I would imagine that the TP, BD Chat and Auctions would have the best accounts; however, the money tree and newbies board would have easier passes to crack.

Cracking an account is REALLY unlikely, as there are literally trillions of possibilities, yet you have 3 guesses an hour.... ;/

correct me if I'm wrong, but an account cracker generally works with you giving it 3 passwords, and it guessing the passwords for thousands and thousands of usernames until it gets a match.

Mystical sent me his, that's how it worked.

I honestly think Fake Login Pages are more viable than an actual account cracker. Use a neomail spammer, and get a couple more shells every time you run it.

    Following on from Hallen.

Most accounts are now locked with pins as well which make it double hard to scam accounts as even if you get the password you don't have root access to the banks, SDB, equipped items etc.

Very hard and frustrating, though I assume it would be possible to brute force an accounts Pin given that its only a possible 9999 combinations (do you get locked out if you enter the wrong ping too many times?)

Not totally true about the pin. Think about it this way:

You're trying the same 3 passwords over and over again for accounts.

    puppy12
    sugar12
    kitty12

(popular haha. Numbers are "12" about 25% of the time with peoples passwords).

Anyone who's dumb enough to have their pass being something like that likely isn't going to be PIN protected.

It's really only the good players who are PIN protected. The people who have passwords like 1l0v3j3rryl33l3w1s!@gmail.
