I have an invalid copy of windows xp on my computer. If Microsoft were to try and authenticate it, I would probably lose access to it and everything on its partition of the hard drive. My question is, does dling and installing SP3 include the authentication check? Thanks in advance!
While downloading it does not require an authenticity check, installing it, unfortunately, does. I don't recommend it.
Thanks. I don't know what I would have done if I had lost everything on it. It's got all my games and tons of other stuff.
I'm using SP3 right now. From here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2163168 Burn it, and insert the cd, and reboot your computer... It wouldn't ask for Auth code or anything any all. been using it for about 10 days now, this one its just been release. problem free Also, it wouldn't hurt, if you have a backup hard drive. I personally think that everyone should have one, 320GB will do... Backup most of the important stuff, you don't want to lose
I can't believe I didn't check to see if there were any torrents for it, that's like the first thing I do with everything else. I feel stupid Thanks though, hopefully everything will go smoothly.
Intalling SP3 doesn't check anything since its compiled update package. But i would suggest that you install vista to it if just possible to run it, because you can download the dell version and dell bios emulelator... always genuine
