Ok, so on some pc games there is an option to play the game in a smaller screen, so that you can still access other stuff on you puter. If a game does not have this option is it still possible to play the game on a smaller screen by other means? I hope that this makes sense.

im not sure if you can, but you always can press alt+tab so you can access your computer.
    hope that helps....

p.s. maybe you can set a different screen resolution and that way let the game small...

Ya. Thats called windowed mode. Try this:
    1. Find the shortcut for the computer game you want to play in windowed mode instead of full screen.
    2. Right click on the shortcut, select Properties.
    3. In the Target field add: -window at the end.
    4. Click OK.

Ctrl + Enter , ( or alt + Enter ) Works on most games. If not , go to the options and select window mode.

Many thanks, do I need to click on apply before I click ok?

If you had read my original post you would have seen that I was asking about games that did NOT have the full-screen/window option.

Tried that on a game which only has full screen mode and didn't work. I doubt I did something wrong. Just warning those who also are not being able to do this.

I might have an asnwer for this issue...
If I remember correctly, a game have to run in fullscreen mode if it want to use hardware rendering.
You can't use direct3d or opengl if your in a window. There's probably a way to run the game in a window but then, the game will use software rendering and you won't be able to have the full quality, full special effects or even be able to play the game since software rendering use the cpu instead of the video card to render images...

Usually, in full screen, you don't see those icons.
