If people were willing to teach you, would you be willing to learn how to program and potentially contribute programs to this site? My opinion on learning how to program: Difficulty on a scale of 1-10: 3 or 4 Time: Less than a week to make basic stuff and at least a few weeks to be proficient
yeeeess! I've tried to learn online multiple times, but it's often hard because tutorial authors can't be contacted or won't respond to inquiries and questions.
Id definitley learn, i actuallly want to, but dont have much time We need to make a Nf.Net Browser lol.
I have no choice D:...gotta take 3 semesters of programing T.T but yeah...teach me gui/threading stuff ....cause I'm way too lazy to look it up
I'll not learn. Programming is a very tedious job and its not for peeps like me who are too lazy to do anything. That's my weakness. Of course, I would contribute to the community in some other way..
I would like to learn how to. I always wanted to learn how to make a simple program like avatar grabber or neopet spiderer or something like that.
I've been trying to teach myself but I have no idea what I need in order to actually create programs.. if that makes any sense
I might create a walkthough of sorts to teach you guys enough programming to make neo programs in Java. Perhaps tharoux or expon or someone can do the same with something like VB or C#. It was chelsea's idea in the first place to create a full-blown programming tutorial from basics to full-fledged applications.
I Actually would Might help me if I do decide to take computer sciences. Not to mention, it never hurts to learn something you can do when you're on the computer all day anyways. I just never really bothered because it's impossible to figure out where to start.
I would love to learn..Actually i already tried to learn using tutorials from the web...With minimal success.. And seeing the replies here it is going to happen soon..Yay for zero and others!!!
Besides the fact that currently my PC access is sporadic, I'd love to learn. I'm taking accelerated C++ at school this year (2 years of C++ in one), and either next year or the year after AP Computer Science. (Java.) I just usually don't know where to start with learning programming; basic HTML and CSS is about it for what I know now. (Userlookups. XD)
i think it's a great idea, even though i can make simple neo programs already( i just don't release them cuz there's already like 5 of the same kind of program on nf xD) learning them in different languages would be nice so they aren't all in vb6
I thought my guide was explicit enough for a starter :| I'm ready to help for this project ! Anyway, peoples are already asking me questions about programming using pm so let's make this official.
it seems that there are lots of people who are interested in learning. i think zer0 might be starting to realise that perhaps reinventing the wheel isn't the worst idea in the world  i'm still learning java (on and off a bit at the moment, but looking to up my commitment levels) if anyone wants me to give them some pretty good java tuts (videos), just send me a pm and i'll be more than happy too. some things i don't think that they explain very well, but they're good as you're actually making something vaguely useful.
