    Currently training my new pet.
I want to train it as fast as possible so im thinking about skipping some stats.

I know that movement doesnt do much so i wont be training movement.

Though this time im thinking about not training defence aswell.

So i will just be basicly training, level, endurance and strength.

Is this a good idea? do i really need the defence?

Most of the bd items i use dont do much blocking, except for downsize! and leaf shield.

I was thinking without having to train defence, my hp and str will go up faster. More hp, so that means not much use for defence???

I'm definitely not a battledome guru and I know others here probably have much more experience with this than I do, and can probably offer you more helpful advice on the subject, but I would suggest training all your stats evenly with the exception of agility. The only time that agility really matters is if you plan on using equipment which requires it, such as the Heavy Robe of Thievery which is a 100% stealer that requires 201 agility and 68 intelligence.

I guess it is really just a matter of personal preference. Not everyone chooses to train evenly. There are several things you should take into consideration first, though. Here is a really good beginner's battledome guide that I really think you should check out. It explains things a lot better than I can. I suck at explaining. :|

Well think of it this way...

    You are fighting your opponent...

    You: 200HP Opponent: 200HP
    200Strength 200strength
    17 DEfence 200defence

Your damage: about 170+ more than the other guy. A good offence is a good defence...

Yeah i was thinking similar to you.

Because i will be purely training this pet (i have another for lab), i want it to be stronger quicker.

Ive already started to train just lvl, hp and str. Ive skipped defence.
Not training defence lets me train hp and str faster which means i would have a higher np then i would have had if i trained defence.

Though yeah, my defence now is my higher hp and more attack power!

Movement is weird, though i think its good if they more more items like the robe, i get alot of movement from coltzan etc.
Have 500 intelligence so that will be helpful too!

Thanks for the guide, having a read now!
Read teh guide, quite good. His train and lab combo seems quite smart.

My current trained pet is one of the best pets and color combination (well to me anyway). Though his correct about how you can save alot of np doing the training and lab combo because you will be just training lvl.
Hard choice, though ill have to think about it in the next couple of weeks. Lose the coolest looking pet or have great stats?
    Opinions on this?

Great stats, duh. You can always use a trans pot or MP.

Stats most important to me, in order:

    Hp
    Strength
    Def
    Level

and movement doesn't even count. xD
