I am looking into buying a nice video camera. The down side is, I know almost nothing about them. I think I want a camera that can store on an internal harddrive and can link with the computer to transfer, none of that buying mini discs, etc. Resolution is the key for it. Also my budget is 250 - 300 max. Anything cheaper is good. Thanks again.
This looks pretty nice: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6830180143 I haven't really looked around though, so you might want to do a little more research and comparisons. Newegg isn't exactly cheap for anything other than computer parts, so you might be able to find cheaper stuff elsewhere (local store, etc)

If you would want something that also has snapshot capabilities at a great resolution, great price, and good name brand I would suggest the Casio Exilim 10.1 MP or higher. However, if you seek complete camcorder, video camera only function I believe the above two post should suffice. Hope this helps.
I would personally go for a sony or canon, not sure if they have anything in your price range, but they are IMO the best 2 companys that make cameras.
