CANT Move Desktop Items!!!

help, im not sure whats wrong, ive tried fixing it every way i know, but i cant move any icons on my desktop or in my folders, i click and drag and they just dont go anywhere, im trying to move song files into other folders and put things on my flash drive and nothing will move

 

right click on the desktopand see if lock desktop is checkecked. In mine it is under active desktop. Look around in that menu

 

tried that, it was unlocked....i tried locking and unlocking again and nothing still

 

have you tried rightclick cut or copy and then paste into destination folder?

 

Maybe its something about what you are trying to move to? The destination folder? Some thumb drives have a lock button...

 

ya tried that...wasnt able to paste anywhere

tried moveing several places none worked

 

Are you an admistrator. That may be the problem if you are not one

 

im the only user on my computer, so yes im the administrator...but it just randomly started so that couldnt be the problem

 

remove internt files. It may be an interent bug

did you try re-booting your computer? If that dosn't work, try a system restore. Or use a program like CCleaner

 

hehe...lol my computer is almsot always on...i havent even though as to try something so simple as rebooting , ill let u know if it worked whe i reboot

 

Some items don't have a cut, copy, paste or move command. I got something like that yesterday, it didn't even have delete! And it was from a Sony Ericsson handphone package's disc too. It was an explorer of some sort.

 

i just rebooted and everything is fine now

simple solution i never though of lol
