As far as I know, the only advantages to playing Cliffhanger is getting the avatar for loosing and the 1.5k max np earnings a day. It is very easy if you use a page with a list of cliffhanger answers, like this one.
Yep, the post should go in the general discussion section under the neopets area. The only other thing Cliffhanger does is increase your active pet's intelligence. But I do not know how often this occurs or whether it is a total random thing.
