okay, i deleted The Sims 2 off my computer a few weeks ago and now I want to put it back on. When I go to install it, it says that there is not enough free space in the C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 folder. I don't have any other Sims games installed. I found the folder, but it's empty. and the installation is still saying that there is not enough space. I have checked my installed programs(Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs List) and I have no other Sims games installed. Please help. I really want to play this game. Thank you.
There is not enough space where? On your C drive? If that's the case just check how much space you have left on it. Right click C drive>Properties and make sure there is enough space for installation. If not, couldn't you just delete the Sims folder, it should automatically create another upon installation.
Where do I go to right click C drive? Sorry x.x. I'm good with coding, but not really the technical part of computers.
My computer>C Drive then right click it and go to properties, a pie char will come up, telling you how much space you have used, and how much you have left. If you have used too much to install sims then just start deleting stuff you don't use.
I've deleted tons of stuff, and the amount of free space still hasn't changed at all. Anyone know why?
Make sure you delete it from your recycle bin too and also be sure you really don't want that stuff on your computer anymore.
If you want to free up space, download and use this: http://www.ccleaner.com/ For the Sims 2 problem, try deleting the actual folder, and don't mind that there's nothing in it. As in, go here: C:\Program Files Find the folder labeled 'EA GAMES' Click on it once. Press delete.
Thanks for your help, everyone. I got it working and I had lots of fun playing it(though the power went out and I lost 3 hours of play x.x)
