hey everybody, quick question: does a laptop using the same internet connection as a home desktop use that computers IP address or is the laptops address different. anyone help me understand this please and also how would i be able to use different IP addresses.
the laptop is a totally different computer and if more then 1 computer ran off the same ip it would be really hard to do much, because alot of stuff is run off your particular IP
ohh, and also, you can change your ip adress if you want, not litterally but you can make an alternate one that you can set your programs to use
Ok, umm, the previous posts are kinda inaccurate and misleading. If you use different computers on the same network, then your LOCAL IP address will be different. Local IP addresses are like 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2, and so on. However, the actual IP visible outside of your network will be the same regardless of which computer on the network you use.
So if i have a neo account on my desktop and one on my laptop they will share the same overall ip adress of the network iam using. I should use proxies then?
