I don't notice many myself, other than a few different layout things(like the Most Visited thing and the new star by the url bar). But I was wondering what other changes happened??
Well Firefox 3 implements the new Gecko 1.9 layout engine, a significant improvement over the previously used Gecko. FF also now passes the Acid2 test and scores better on the Acid3 test. New download manager, new plugin manager, new password manager. More features for bookmarks and history pages. It is also more customized to the OS (it looks different under Windows, Macs, Linux, etc). Its basically just all around better.
What do you mean by "make the browser faster"? You mean that FF is slow? I think Gecko 1.9 is more efficient than the previous version.
lol, they're not ported to FF3 yet? I'm still using FF2 because my software tree still hasn't unmasked FF3 yet.
Disable all themes and extensions. Get rid of as many toolbars as you can. Don't load images/java/javascript automatically.
I miss my old extensions. Half of them don't work on FF3 yet. But I really notice the speed increase and not to mention the the safe site blocking function.
the buttons are different and it has Javascript 1.3 which makes using Greasemonkey scripts faster and opening Javascript windows
