    Hey everyone.

I'm very new to this whole autobuying concept, and to this forum, so please forgive me if this has been already covered, or if I come off sounding really stupid. o_O But, since I have a long way to go before I'm able to afford one of these AB downloads, I was wondering if autobuying is something that I could do on my own until then? Or do the AB programs have some special abilities that allow items to be bought from main shops for way cheaper than they're able to be haggled? I know that it's a lot faster with an AB program, but I figure, if I could do it myself for now, slowly but surely, then maybe it's worth it.

Again, I'm sorry if this has already been covered somewhere! Thanks in advance for replies! :)

The point of an autobuying program is that it "does" it for you, being that it buys items at a higher speed than a person normally could. "Doing it yourself" means restocking manually... so yes you could try restocking if you wish

You could definitely try going legit! ^^ It does, however take a lot of patience. Abers are pretty much the lazy way of restocking, but they much faster, but can risk getting your account frozen depending on how you use it. If you've got a fast internet connection and some patience you can do it.

Son of Chilly made an awesome guide about it, it explains rsing quite thoroughly =)

Yeah, doing it legit is a fair way to go. Assuming you can be bothered refreshing for a long time, and if you have fast connection. The igloo restocker is a good ab to start with i reckon

Of course it buys the items faster.. That's the whole point of it..

Try legit restocking in the Pharmacy for a while. Medicinal Soaps are good ones to start with when you're not all that good at RSing. They stock frequently in good numbers so you shouldn't have much trouble getting a couple each time. It isn't too bad a profit either :)

Thank you all for the information! I appreciate it. I'll see what I can do for now... I've noticed, though, that some main shops sell some things way more expensive than they can be found in the user shops. I made the mistake of buying something for about 3,000 NP when it was in the shop wizard for like, 30. :\ Do main shops usually sell things for cheap, but rarer items, making them more valuable in the shop wizard?

Yes. The rule generally is that the fewer that actually stock in the shop, the more the item is worth as it's rarer.

It's pretty much trial and error when you first start legit restocking to be perfectly honest. You start to learn from your mistakes and successes (and there will be a fair few mistakes ;)). Just don't give up. Like everything, it gets easier the more you do it :)

Try the igloo. A LOT of items in there are mega discounted and sell for A LOT more-- so...
From my experience I've made MAD profit off it, and I'm not sure if it restocks as much as other places, but... I dunno you could try rsing there sometime.

Thanks for the tip! I've actually been glued to the igloo all day, lol. My biggest problem is knowing which items on there are the most valuable though. A lot of times I just have to click on something and take a chance, and usually it's in the low thousands, but this is why I'd like an ABer...because they choose the most valuable things to buy right away, right? :p
