    http://www.neopets.com/auctions.phtml?t ... d=99618633

    ^^ link to auction.

HE IS SELF-ICING 5minutes before the auction ends. BID AND LOSE YOUR NP!!!! ill find the quotes later.

put it in auctions 1k/1k, 2 days. and self-ice
Is that the one that when people bid, they lose their NP? If so, it's a done deal ;o

Will the people that bid lose their neopoints or will TNT give it back? That's a smart idea, to self ice if people who bid will lose their neopoints. Pretty funny if you ask me, haha.

can you explain this cookie grabbing concept to me? Surely he cannot actually steal a cookie stored on your comp, any firewall would prevent it.

Is that really what happens in all cases? If you bid on an item in Auctions and the sellers account is frozen or self-iced, your neopoints are lost? If so, that's absolutely ridiculous.. But surely people would have made a fuss about it in the past? Having said that, whenever people do, TNT just say it was a one-off 'glitch' rather than an ongoing problem that they can't be bothered to sort out..

How did you find out about this?

I know someone that was doign someone else a favour and bidding on a 'misspriced' auction. The guy then self-iced and my friend didnt get his nps back.
That was a while ago now and he would have been complaining all the time so I will see if he has got them back yet.

Yes they do. They grab your word and your username. Nasty.

Some guy mispriced 2 PCC's, SoS's, Gbombs etc.

Think there was 150mil in total.

Once they was at original price he self iced. meaning like 20 people each lost 20mil ish

Generally cookie grabbers can be stfu'd by lowering your cookie security level under internet options, since they are third-party cookies anyway. Self-icing to make people lose Neopoints? Lol. Neopets should have a refund system...

I would assume, however this cookie grabber works, for every person that clicks on their profile (normally before bidding, you do check a persons profile for a little research sense) every person who clicks on their profile, they apparently log their Password. Or so SOC has lead me to believe. Despite me saying I think its impossible.

    its possible
but whats the point in selling a 10 mill item
    just to self freeze
who cares if he gets people with 500k's pws its just pointless

it IS possible ive lost a darigan draik egg due to it;S but just stay away anyway. safer

people rich enough to bid 300k+ (at the moment) definitely have good accounts and worth being cookie grabbed.

im wondering, why self-freeze 5 mins before auction ends? that might alert some people to change their pws..... if he didnt self-freeze, he would get the np from the auction, those cged accounts would not have lost np (more to steal for him) and no one would suspect that it was him

he's already admitted he has a CG'er and that he is just wanting to mess laods up.

he dnt want to earn NP he just wants to feck people over :p therefore around 100 people have bidded so far. I suspect around 250 will at end. Each spending a couple of mil down to 100k. Be about 100mil blown up :D kinda funny

now if he did this on more items on various different accounts, he could essentially fight neopian inflation quite effectively. perhaps thats something good that can come out of this?

of course that would make people afraid of bidding on any auction.. and make it easier for snipers.. :D

couldnt we all go to his lookup after clearing our cookie history and cache then view source and steal the cookie grabbing code? o.o

I would /LOVE/ to have some fun with this code...
