i need to re fix my mailbox on outlook express i cant rembe wat to put 4 the incoming & outgoing servers? i know i use pop i think pop3? how do i type it exactly???
Not sure, but if you're using POP you could go here: http://www.cscweb.net/support/mail/outlook-pop.shtml I think it should help. Sorry if it doesn't. >.<
It's specific to what company you use for email. Either a web-based email provider like Gmail or Yahoo (some web-based providers won't work with POP3), or your ISP's email. Just look on your service's FAQ or help page, and it should tell you what to put for your outgoing and incoming servers. If you can't find it there try googling it. The link btboy provided tells you how to set it up and lists a few servers for popular ISPs.
it looks nice but my screen doesnt look like that. heres a screenshot of wat i need to put in as information. im not sure wat to put in the boxes. it has been years since i had to do this. my mail provider is compadable cuz i was useing it be4 i had xp.
.. The only dork question is the question that you do not ask. If you are ever unsure of anything, it doesn't hurt to ask ^_^ My mail service I use here in New Zealand is Orcon. It uses Pop3 also. In my Pop3 field in outlook i use : Mail.Orcon.net.nz and my STMP field is also :Mail.Orcon.net.nz Before this I was with Xtra as my mail service and my Pop3 And SMTP Settings were : Pop3.xtra.co.nz and STMP.xtra.co.nz If you are unsure of what pop3 and smtp settings to use, go to your Broadband providers website and do a quick search on "Outlook mail settings" or "pop3 and smtp help".(If you're trying to use your ISP's mail service that they offer). If your mail service is something like GMAIL/Yahoo/Hotmail or something else, Check out their websites and query POP3 and STMP Settings. That should bring a page up with the information that you need to input into outlook in order for the application to receive and send your email. Hope this helps. P.S...Some free mail service providers require you to pay $ in order for you to use outlook. Might pay to check out your free mail provider to make sure this isn't the case or you'll find you're running around in circles.
