You are perhaps talking about the thing that was hosted on avatar.starried.net?
They had an Easter Negg hunt and if you found all the Neggs you would be entered into a draw to beta test some new program of theirs.
Anyway, I think its over now...

It's a shame it's not a official plot or mini game for Neopets because it looks fun.

 

it is fun, you can try it yourself.. its still not closed for play yet 8)

reward is to beta test a game database.. i think it lists the 250 fastest/easiest games to play.. sort of like their project packrat
