Can somebody pinpoint me in the direction of a good program that can extract only the audio from a video file.

Example. Take the audio from a .mpg and make an .mp3 out of it.

I have videos off of youtube I want to put the music on my mp3 player :p

Hehe i have an extremly easy way, you don't even have to download any new programs, it should be already built in with your comp.

    go to start start>programs>accessories>entertainment>sound recorder

and the program should pop up, just run the youtube video and press the record button

    Yeah well

I used a program one time for that, it was a trial and I did one clip and that was it. I got it from download.com just search mpg to mp3 and it should give you some programs.

for better sound quality, you can use audicity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and that records directly from your computers sound card, so you dont even need a microphone.
