Ive been trying to download maplestory on a computer im borrowing.

    OS is windows 2000
I downloaded straight from the maplestory website and after installing it.
I double click the icon to start up the game.
But instead it gives a popup saying that file dinput8.dll is missing.

So i searched it on google. Found it and downloaded it.
then it says i need to unzip it so i downloaded winrar.
but when i try to put it into the maplestory folder and click the icon,
another pop up coms up with a bunch of stuff that doesnt even look like a language.

    What am I doin wrong?
    Someone plz help.

    Try re-installing?
Or submit a support ticket on their website

Its just an online form where you ask support questions to them. And then they'll answer your questions once they get to you.

I keep clicking on support and then contact us and it takes me to a login page.
I type in my user info and it says im signed in at the top.
but the page keeps telling me to log in.

Will it refresh once they get to me?
    The Faq doesnt help much.

    Oooh, so that's the problem!
No, its not supposed to go into the Maplestory folder. Its a file used for DirectX 8.

    Try putting it into "%system%\"
