Hi there. Not sure if this is the correct forum for this, so if it isn't, please feel free to move it or whatever. AND, please note, I didn't write any of this, I *found* it. Firefox has an official add-on called Greasemonkey. It edits the javascript on pages. S0 what do you do? 1.) Install the latest version of Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) 2.) Install Greasemonkey (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748) 3. Go to üserscripts.org and in the search field, search for "Neopets" 4.) See which ones you like and install! This works well for other game sites too, like Gaia. Personally, the only two I use are the neggsweeper helper (plays neggsweeper for you, 3 easy K a day) and cliffhanger player (playes cliffhanger for you, easy 1.5 K a day). Just a side note: You must download the scripts and Greasemonkey itself from firefox, as it installs them directly into your firefox add-ons. Also, you must do the things for the scripts you downloaded (e.g. playing Neggsweeper) in Firefox, since greasemonkey doesn't work in IE.
I love greasemonkey Adblock add-on for Firefox is very useful as well for semi-legit RSing (See chilly's guide for it).
I like that you can use any site theme, but it always flashes the default site theme before loading the script and displaying the site theme you chose to use... which throws me off quite a bit. So, I removed it. Its probably just my slow computer though, not greasemonkey itself
I don't think it's your "slow" pc... I have the same problem with the site themes, which is why I don't use it, and I have a rather good pc. Won't be able to take over NASA's work or anything, but I can play new games on max graphics, iykwim :arf: Anyone else who has this problem?
The one I think it's the best is the gormball player and the ad remover which makes your neopets like premium!
I got the AdsRemover 1.2, Neopets- All site themes, Cliffhanger atoplayer, Neopet autoplayer (Gormball autoplayer), and more smileys for the neoboard. They are working great!
Make sure you change your user agent so TNT doesn't know you are using them because they can detect it.
What's that? First of all: i don't think these scripts are according to the neopets rules, right? so what about the freeze rate? How safe is the use of greasemonkey? Anyone ever been frozen? and how can you use them safely?
