I am trying to install a game (Sims 2), but I keep getting a message telling me I don't have enough space on my computer. I have deleted a TON of things, and have 1.81 GB (over 1 billion bytes) of free space. If anyone could tell me how much more I need or give any other helpful information, I would appreciate it.
i think youre going to need a lot more than 1.8 gigabytes. i believe the sims 2 requires from 3.5 - 4 gigabytes. if all your data is very important and you cant delete more, you should probably get a second hdd and install the game onto that. if not, delete all the big stuff. i believe there is a program to find all the biggest files on your computer, if i find it i will link
You need much more then 1.8GB. Depending on how many additions you have to that game it can take up over 4gigs of space...another 7 if you downloaded the game. I suggest you get a new HDD as well; look at www.newegg.com the HDDs in the 30 to 50 gb range are dirt cheap. In fact I picked up a 500gb drive for under 200 dollars a while back.
last time i checked the sims (not sims 2) used 2 gigs, so odds are sims 2 will require more than 1.8 gigs. most games now require at least 4 with their better graphics.
sims2 with all the add ons takes up a massive ammount of space go buy a new hdd, they are cheap now, under 50 for more space then you'll need for a while
