Im thinking of getting this tatooed across my back and over my shoulder blades what do you think? its from zelda btw i wasnt sure which forum to post it in.
Think about it for a year.. But you reminded me to put this up: http://www.samuelmullin.com/tats.html
I would definitely say think about it. Is this your first tattoo? Remember that you may not feel the same way about Zelda in twenty years that you do now.
I agree with people. You need to think about it and ask what people would say if you had it. Ask some people who are older than you. There are tattoos that are temporary. You could use that as an option and see how you like it and what others say again. Remember if you dislike the real tatto you will have hell to remove it and it will be nasty most likely when removed. Temporary tattoos might be the best for you.
At the end of the day tattoos are for you, not everybody else. I get my tattoos done cause they mean something to me, I don't give a cake if other people don't like them. Other peoples opinions on that part of it mean squat. But you do need to try and think in the long term, is this something that you are still going to love when your 80. But would also like to point out that you will not really be able to see it if it is on your back, so if you don't like it when your 80, it won't really matter cause you can't see it!
NoPoint is right - in the end a tattoo is for you and you only. But I would argue that it does matter if you're 80 and have a tattoo you hate. I love all of my tattoos and would never get rid of them, but I can't imagine how unhappy I'd be if I had permanent art that I didn't love.
I only mentioned about the back thing, cause I have a large one on my back, but I tend to forget I have it most of the time, because I cannot see it.
Hahaha, go Zelda! That's an awesome design. If you're really going to regret it, they do have tattoo removal techniques now, like lasers! Pretty cool, cause the lasers break down the pigments of the tattoos and then your immune system removes it! Although it takes quite a few weeks, and if it is covering your back, could be pretty expensive. Yeah, maybe you could get some fake tattoo painted on, and check it out in the mirror. But if you said you don't notice the tattoos on your back that often, maybe you should get it on your bicep or something?
The lines are too sharp to look good across your shoulder blades. If they were more curved it would look better.
I like the design, I think it'd be a cool tattoo, but I agree with what other people said. Think about it for a year or so. Who knows, you may not even like gaming/Zelda by then. Maybe you should just get the shirt for now.
That would be a really neat tattoo if it wasn't from a game. I have yet to see a good video game tattoo, and the only reason I can see getting one, is if you've played so much games that you're making a living off it. Otherwise, don't get any video games tattoos for at least 5 years, chances are that you'll get tired of it.
Well, that's the Twilight Princess symbol right? Zelda itself has been in existence for about 20 years, so if you've been a fan for all those years, I don't see why you would stop now. I've been a fan since I was a kid and bought my first nintendo. And it does look cool, regardless of whether it's from a game or not. If you don't want people to think you look nerdy or anything, just take the triforce out. It'd look awesome enough without it.
i'm going to have to say i like the tattoo. it could easily be mistaken for tribal. i'm not sure about how well the sharp edges would look however, it's your opinion that matters most. frankly, about the whole "when you're 80" thing; i believe that when you're 80 looking back on tattoo's they should remind you of the time in your life when you said tattoo. just because you may not like it when you're older doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. at least not in my opinion. the world wouldn't be as fun if people were alwaying thinking about whether or not they're going to like certain things when they're older. and yes, i'm aware that tattoo's are permanent but really, how many eighty year old people run around topless in public? exactly. pshaw. i vote get it. i'm not a zelda fan personally but, if i were to have seen this elsewhere i would've never known it was from a game. o_o i almost want to alter it myself and get it done. considering i'm in the market for a back tattoo.
Idk about getting that whole thing acros s your back. You should get something smaller like the triforce on the back of your hand like link. That would be better
No its the pheonix symbol of the hyrule shield with a tristar in the middle anyway its not even like its a picture of zelda it looks more like a bird so even if i dont like zelda in 20 years time it wouldnt matter.
