this is my last post on neofriends.net i am logging out and never logging back in why am i going you may ask well here is why #1 the people are all suck ups. #2 if this place is free why do you have to post to get points to get programs? that IS NOT FREE! #3 most of the programs here to even run you need to have a nice cpu and not every person has one me i don't have a fast cpu and i could not even run any abers . #4 i just seen that im spending so much time on things that are not real. a little advice go and find you a girlfriend or a boyfriend look im 15 and im just waking up you got to see that this whole site is nothing but numbers and letters that's all the internet is. try going outside in the daytime see the light i like the night myself IT'S TIME FOR ALL OF YOU TO WAKE UP GOOD BYE FOR WE WILL NOT MEET AGAIN.

Ironic that I see this after a guy asked me if I was interested in going into a relationship with him.. Maybe I'm just dense, but I don't really see people sucking up.. Maybe my definition of that is different from yours, but I think I should just.. not make enemies on my 1st week here just yet. ._. My CPU's plenty slow, so I do kinda understand that.. But you could just overclock your CPU so it'd be faster, maybe? I think the internet and the people posting behind their computers are as real as can be. But then again, my definition of what's real and what's virtual might be different from yours also. ...Does it have to kill you to post to get programs? It doesn't cost a cent, posting. Just takes forever if I have a proxy up, but it's still free~ ..Oh yeah. And goodbyyee~
1-Well, the site is free. It uses points you get for free to EARN the programs people worked so hard on making. 2-I have a life, too. I just use the internet when I'm free and thats not for more than 2 hours a day. I have girlfriend(s), friends, real pets (2 dogs and a cat) that I spend alot more time with than I spend with my Neopets. 3-Have fun in real life!
THis shall remain open as long as it dont turn into a flamefest against the original poster. Your arguements can be easily countered. 1. It depends on who you talk to imo, everyone talks different and has a differnt sense of humour 2. Did it cost you any money? NO! then its free. A little effort to earn something you cant do is something you should expect. 3. awww diddums. *feels sorry for you* /sarcastic 4. Thats your own fault for not manging time correctly, fair does i probably spend too much time here. Does it cause me to fall behind my homework? no. Does it stop my gf seeing me when we agree? no. Does it stop me going out meeting mates? no. I generally use this place early AM before college, when noone else is awake and later on at night, after homework + meeting people. If you cant manage to put friends before NF then you should of quit a long time ago. The internet is a hobby, a game, something fun. If you dont enjoy it, the same as you dont enjoy a certain game for your Xbox or PS3 then you dont play. Take care in real life

Honestly, I haven't seen any sucking up...its been more or less people actually getting along...-insert concept here- Why do you post to get points to use a program? Other than the fact that it keeps people from just joining a community to not be a part of it, and it keeps this site free from noobs...OH yeah, not to mention it helps you appreciate the program that much more. Im not saying its not frustrating at times, but it feels that much better when it is downloaded by you. I spend time on here on a not so fast computer on noncable internet and the igloo buyer works fine for me. granted it messes up at times, but earning things for free....don't look a gifthorse in the mouth. Real life eh? Girlfriend eh? What makes you assume that anyone on here doesn't? I am currently deployed to Iraq and Spend some time here after getting back from a mission. I work hard on a daily basis and when i get back i relax here for a bit, then go to sleep. When i wake up i try and get in touch with my girlfriend or other friends. I go to the rec center. I eat food. I don't let this world run my life, i just monitor it and let it be a part of my life. I actually did just wake up, and still need to wipe the sleep from my eyes. Anywho, i hope you have a good life and fun in whatever you do.
do you have to paid something each time you posted? -.- this is free.and i think its so much better to give the programs this way and not to give it to everyone who register and go away and never comeback. you can`t say we have not life because you haven`t. if you spend your time posting 50 times a day its your problem. i have a life, i just come like 15 minutes per day, thats no much. i have a husband and a son an I'm really happy. and i`m sure that here's a lot of ppl with a normal life and very happy too.
In a way does it really matter if people do this? I mean the poster has left and has stated themselves that they are not coming back. Or is it a case of we don't want people getting into bad habits? I am not trying to be rude, it is a genuine question. On topic: as everyone has said all the arguments that the original poster put forward have valid counter points. These have already been put forward by other people. I think most of us have normal lives outside of neofriends and neopets.
I get your point and understand ur not being rude etc, but flaming has NO PLACE at all on this forum for whatsoever reason. NONE. Once it starts, it'll continue elsewhere. Once one person flames, another may take it too far, causing someone to flame at him. causing a big war between two ACTIVE members. You can counter his arguement and discuss spending too much time here. But going around calling him all sorts of names under the sun and your post will be deleted and an official warning issued for breaking rules. NO circumstances is flaming valid.
If you could just download anything, basically the whole neopets community would come, download everything there is, and never show their face again
This is a very good point and eventually most people are not too worried about the points/cash and are here for the forum. I may download programs, but it doesn't matter to me how long it takes to get them. I enjoy being on here and talking to other people, eventually I get enough points to 'buy' another program to add to my collection.

Some of us are older than you and our lives aren't so perfect and wonderful so we choose to be here where we can discuss, and have fun. It's a get away.
I don't, I suck Anywho, what's the point of complaining? As many people probably has said (but I'm too tired to read the whole thread), the programs are free, it doesn't cost you a dime to get them. But you get them as a reward for beingan active and contributing member of this forum and frankly, if your computer isn't good enough, it's your problem. Why don't you just ask someone in the computers & technology and get help on how to get more out of your computer? Also, many people here don't even play neopoets anymore, alot are just interested in coding, graphic design etc. or stay here just for the kind people =) Then why are you complaining? If you don't want to spend time on a neopets forum, why do you feel that you have to abuse the anonymity that the internet provides and take out your anger on strangers, rather than go read a book or whatever you wanted to do? Why did you even spend time on creating this thread when you could be doing something with your girlfriend or boyfriend or just friends? Because by creating this thread you spent even more time on things that aren't real; that your opinion is of value. A wise man once said; If you don't have anything to say, don't speak. So next time, if there will be a next time, please think through what you say before you say it, because it completely sucks when those who have problems feel like they need to drag others down with them :/
