This is a guide for people who have younger than 4Mo. accounts and still want to make a reasonable profit. 1) Don't spend your Neofriend points! Save up for the Igloo Autobuyer coded by expon. It's only 20 points (though I believe it should be 200.) This is all you will need for an account that is less than 4 months old. 2) Create a seperate account for autobuying; It will marginally decrease freezing chances. If your account is frozen for using an autobuyer, no - i'm sorry - you will not be getting it back. 3) Log into the igloo ABer with your neofriends account/password. Then, log in to the ABer with your neopets account/password. I personally activate Gzip; test the waters, see if that works better for you or not. I then load a list. I've been using this list, and it's worked amazingly for me so far: http://blake.insanenerd.com/igloolist.txt List was created by Angel and deserves all due credit. 4) Don't start buying just yet! Go to the settings category. With this specific list, you'll want to UNcheck the containing option. Then, in the seconds box, change 6 to anything from 7 - 10, whatever you're comfortable with. It is my belief that your chances of icing do not decrease by the amount of seconds you refresh. If you, on the other hand, are nervous about this, change it to 15 or something. (Note: if you go that high in the seconds, you may have more misses than hits.) 5) Don't be discouraged by ABing for 1 full hour and not getting a thing! That just means there were some crap restocks and nothing on the list even came up. Sometimes you'll get up to 8 items per hour, sometimes 1. It's all chance. This point is key: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR AUTOBUYER ON FOR LONG! I never leave it on longer than 2 hours. I'm comfortable with that time. Any longer, I believe you will get noticed. Look at it this way: TNT knows that a person can't sit at their computer and press the F5 key over and over for 6 hours straight and do nothing else. Don't leave it on and go to school. Don't leave it on overnight. Pay attention to what time you turn it on and make a mental note that you need to turn it off two hours from that point. 6) When transferring items, it's suggested you do NOT use the 'Give to Neofriend' option, for this dramatically increases the chance of getting your accounts chain-iced. Instead, put the items up for trade in the ABing account, and buy them with your main account. This guide does not guarantee your account will not get frozen. Remember, by The Neopets Team's standards, you are cheating - and their job is to detect and remove people who do exactly what you're doing. So, if you loose your Faerie Gelert and your Maraquan PB, don't blame Neofriends.net! Remember what exactly that program is doing. Happy Hunting! (note: this is the 1st draft of this guide and subject to change at any time by the author) Edit: I just noticed that there was a guide forum & I posted this in the wrong forum. I also noticed that there are much, MUCH better guides than mine. I shall now crawl in a corner and not come out for a while.
Igloo Autobuyer Thank you so, so much for making this guide! I know that in the future when I finally get that dreaded twenty points I will refer back to this guide countless times! I really want to thank you and (+ rep) for you!
Great guide for newer accounts and if you get frozen you can always start out using that again. Very well done and very helpful too. +rep for your effort
Um i have a question how do i start buying i have the list uploaded and everything do i click on the item and press start?
Don't grave dig. If a thread hasn't been posted in for 3 days, it's dead. Don't bump it back up...especially with questions that can be answered by reading the rules.
