How to Safely Switch Accounts in Firefox and IE Many people here have main accounts and sub accounts. While the main account looks nice and legit, the sub accounts are the ones doing all the hard work and the ones likely to get frozen. Now, while getting chain-iced is a real possibility, I know that many people have dynamic IP addresses, which limits the possibility of getting chain-iced. However, ever notice that when you log out of neopets, and then attempt to log back in, the last username you used is displayed there for you? Now, while clearly you've been logged out, the cookie in your browser still remembers the last account logged in. I have no proof that neopets could use or is collecting data linking last accounts logged in with new accounts logged in, but I'd say it's very possible, and even if they're not doing it now, that doesn't mean they won't try it in the future. Therefore, I've written a guide to completely remove neopets cookies from your browser so there's no way of keeping track (other than IP) of the last account logged in with that browser. In Firefox: Go to Tools ---> Options Click on the Privacy tab. Click Show Cookies. In the search box, type "neopets" without the quotes. Individually highlight everything that says neopets.com, or any IP address, and click Remove Cookie. Do this for all neopets.com cookies, and close and open Firefox. Vuola! All neopets evidence is gone! In Internet Explorer 6.x (Windows XP): Go to your desktop and right-click the Internet Explorer icon. Click on Properties. Click on the General tab. Click Settings. Click View Files. At the top, click Search. Click All Files and Folders. In the All or part of the file name box type in "neopets" without the quotes. Delete everything you find and viola! No more Neopets evidence in IE. +rep is always appreciated if this has helped, and if need be, I'll include pictures of each step to minimize confusion.
Nice guide, you can also clear all your cookies by checking always clear my cookies when I close firefox, with cookies checked. It will clear every cookie though.
