install it in your PC, go to my computer right click the drive to be formated and select "format"

Almost sounds too east doesn't it lol

or from a command prompt, typ format (drive leter): and enter. Just make sure you have the right drive. ;) normally you DON"T want to format c: lol

are you going to get rid of it? if so smack it a few times with a hammer, if not you put in your windows disk and when u reboot the computer you wanna go into settings change the boot settings to boot from cd, it will then boot from CD and you just follow the indtuctions to reformat and partition. =]

best and cleanest way I know how is to going threw fdisk on the command prompt. Normally I toss in my Win98 Se. Then get to a command prompt that way type fdisk and go to follow the steps there.

Don't listen to the poeple in the above posts. Their idiots.

Their are millions of programs on the internet just designed for reformatting.
Get a floppy disk, download fdisk. Boot from the floppy disk and format. It's easy and takes 2 minutes.

No floppy disk? Burn it on a cd and boot from cd.
Hell, don't like fdisk? Downlaod parition magic.

It's easy as shit to do.

Don't reformat C: if you don't have another OS disk though.. No OS on the the hard drive means it's not gona boot ;)
