    My friend helped me burn a lot of shows onto dvds. I don't know why but I can only read some of the disc he gave me. When I pop in the disc I can't read, a window pops up asking me if I would like to burn anything onto that disc as if it was empty. I open up the folder and there is nothing in it. But my friend was able to see things on his computer. How come this is happening on my computer? I know there are files there but it says that it is an empty disc. Can someone figure out how to fix this problem?

    You're positive your Disc drive is able to burn? Go get some fresh discs, see if that works, if not it's your disc drive.

    My computer has the same problem.. I think it's a virus jamming up mine, though. o3o
    Maybe you could run a virus test as well to see if it's the same problem as mine?
    Because I changed my entire disc drive already and the thing still doesn't work. ^^;
    It's like a read error or something.. a burned disc turning up empty. -3-

    Computer is still able to burn stuff, though, but it'll always tell me that there's some error with the burning whenever if verifies the data. ^^;
