When I play games on neo, my computer twitches alot when I perform an action, such as pick up items, activate something, or on advert attack every time I click.

Anyone know how I can stop this from happening and make the games run smoothly? I have windows vista, I have.....

    Memory(RAM): 958MB

    Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3400+ 1.80 GHz

unfortunatly (spelling ? :arf: ), games on neo are asking for quite a fast computer. pure processor speed is what is needed. I can't play 70 % of the game now because I'm running a amd xp 1700+
Everytime they add or change an existing game (merca chase, dubloon disaster and so on), I stop playing them.

you can upgrade the cpu as long as you stay with a socket 462. This is not the most recent technology and you won't be able to buy the last generation cpu but there's a considerable gain in performance possible without changing the board... if this is not enough and you don't want to change the board, you can overclock a bit. If you're not going into the extreme, a better cooler will do the job of keeping everything in check.

    Hope this help

200 to 300max will get you a new motherboard and a 939 CPU via AMD

and Vista tends to impact performance unless you have beefy hardware specs

is your internet speed fast enough? and vista needs like 1.5gb of ram to run effectively, 2gb is ideal for budget/practicality. oooh a single core? :/ . youll want a pentium d 3ghz single core atleast(very cheap, like $50 or so), or otherwise a 4000+ amd.

get a socket AM2+ board if you're getting an AMD board. you can keep the ram and add some more ram if you want, but you will need a new heatsink if you get a new processor. the power supply can stay most likely. if you never built a computer before you might be best off hunting for a good deal on a computer.
