Ok, so on my mom's vista labtop, she changed some settings on her keyboard and now whenever we press letters with a number on it as well (ex. u with a number 5 on it), instead of showing u it will show a 5... I need some help changing it back to normal settings.

Search for a key "num lock" on the keyboard, press it and voilà !

The num lk key on laptops is normally on the very top row of keys (over on the right side of the keyboard).

no it's not num lock. I just found out its f-lock. But, now I can only temporarly fix it by holding fn (f lock key) and then typing... I need a perm solution.

Just looked over the net and try typing FN + Num lock at the same time... this seems to solve the problem for some user.... I didn't find any way to fix it in windows... :|
