How do I hide my IP?

I was just wondering, how am I to hide my IP address? I believe someone mentioned that Neopets can check for someone's IP address and ban them? I don't mind getting frozen really but if my IP's banned, I can't even play Neopets at all! Can anyone help me out here? I'm staying in Singapore.. Tried hidemyip.com or something but my whole internet was super slow.. I believe it's because it's United States IP which is why it was so slow..

 

I think what you're looking for is a proxy. There are some proxy sites around with Singapore addresses just try googling it.

 

Proxy? What's that.. How can that help me with my IP? If I'm gonna use that, can Neopets track my IP down? And will it slow my internet connection?

 

A proxy is a fake IP addy it'll help because it acts as a mirror for your IP. Neopets if they wanted to could look through the mirror but often times they don't. Yes it will slow down your connection but if you find a good proxy it won't slow you down by much

 

But the thing is that if a proxy slows down my connection, I wouldn't be able to get unbuyables or items that are profitable by 10-20k or something right.. Is there an alternate way to do this?

 

Not really except for constantly resetting you connection so you have a new IP everytime.

 

And what about port? What is that about? Can it hide my IP?

 

i thuikn you can download some programs that can hide your IP!

 

Meaning to say that my chances of getting an unbuyable is still the same as me not having a proxy? Cause' you mentioned that it does affect the speed..

Put it this way:
Proxy-Hides your real IP and gives better security but slows down internet so less likely chance of UBs but also less likely chance of IP ban.
No Proxy-less security and chance of IP ban but it gives a greater chance of getting UBs.

No I don't use a proxy and I make a decent amount a day to count I've abed/rsed over 100 UBs in 2 months. The reason I don't use a proxy is because I don't get much if I use a proxy and also if I ever get IP banned I can always reset my IP.

What you said is totally true which is why I don't quite want to hide my IP after hearing the pros and cons of hiding IP.. I called my ISP earlier and they told me that there isn't such a sevice where I can hide my IP.. What do you mean by you can always reset your IP? How do you do that?

 

My ISP allows me to change my IP whenever I want so all I have to do is call and say I think my computers at risk and they'll change it because I have 3 other computers connected.

 

Wow.. That's cool! Which country do you live in? I wonder if my ISP or Singapore has this kinda thing.. And you can change it as many times as you want?

 

I live in the US. I believe I can change it as much as I want but I keep it to a minimum so they don't think I'm up to no good 8)

I haven't gotten one since I sold my 4mo account. I've been going for small profit in large quantities I'm averaging 500k a day on my 3 week account.
