Please don't tell me to go to another guide like marlenes because I have already looked at it.

But when I go to my computer I have no idea if im going to the right spot because I find where I do the lan settings. But after that I put in the proxy server and I get nothing. I disable automatic I even try to reset my internet. But everything I do I keep getting back the same IP address. Someone help please.

If you're typing it in to where it says Proxy Server double check that the box is checked. The box says something like- Use a proxy server for your LAN.

Are you in need of a proxy for your internet connection OR for your internet browsing?

    what's your router model?
do you know how to get to the router config page?
If so look for an option in there but if you give me the model ex: linksys wrtg56 or something like that.

Bad news D= I tried but I can't find anything. How savvy are you with computers? Do you know anything about router firmware and such as to where you'd be able to change the firmware on your router to a different one. See if you don't know what you're doing you can very very i can't stress that enough very easily mess up your router making it unusable. That's why I'm asking because I think in the alternative firmware there's an option.

The only thing I can think of is going to your network connections right clicking the local area connection click properties
then scroll down to tcp ip and then manually enter IP. I doubt that's going to work but it's worth a try.

Why do you need a proxy for the ab anyways? If you have dsl everytime you reset the modem it gives you a new IP if you have cable, you could try doing what I do when I need my IP changed. Connect the computer next to the router and modem to the modem directly. Reset the modem and when it comes back on you should have a different IP. Now if you change the cables again and connect the modem to the router and then pc to router the IP should change AGAIN. Try that see if it works.
