I'm leaning more towards a mac. I have no idea which one or anything though. :p I know you can't run a lot of programs on macs, but the only ones I need to run are FF, iTunes, and msn..

Give me some ideas on whether to get a mac or not. Also give me ideas on what laptop I should get. Don't pick some $3,000 alienware one though. I'm not build of money.

I have to Toshibas at home and I've noticed that after a few months that the bottom of them over heat rather quickly. My computer is about 2 years old and after 5 minutes it feels like there is lava on my lap.

The new MacBooks are awesome. But there is sort of like a problem with them.

I wouldn't know a Macbook from a big mac, but I can tell ya this, I LOVE my Gateway CX210X laptop. It's wide screen that can spin 180 degrees and lay flat. It came with Vista home premium, that I was skeptical about in the beginning, but ended up loving. It has the Intel Core2 CPU, 1 gig ram, and came with many bells and whistles already on it so I didn't have to do it myself.

I had a toshibi a couple years ago and I noticed it heated up rather quickly as well.

I'll go to the mac website and check out what they have.

I saw that gateway in a commercial once... I don't think I'd ever have a need to go and spin the screen around or lay it flat though...

I really like Sony. They usually have really good design...minus the overheating batteries a couple of years ago.
