inflation sceme!

well i think we have all seen the lab maps skyrocket...well i think we should inflate the petpet lab maps because i feel alot of potientional there.

 

i think for a successful inflation scheme, the item would have to be retired. or else if players still got that item, the scheme wouldn't work anymore =X

 

why not? i mean the origional map was 500np a pop at first and now its 900k a pop...and this petpet lab is current ally 500np a pop so why not buy them and sell them later when they are worth 30k?

 

maybe it's not feasible, i mean, since the items not retired yet, everyone's still able to get a chance to have it. and if neopets catches wind of this, they can just raise the supply of the maps, o lower to price of it.

 

i dont think that petpet lab maps are as useful as lab maps. so there is a smaller chance for the price to increase. How about Glass pb? it is retired.

 

petpet lab is useless.... not even worth inflating... like some else said, tnt would just release more of them.... i think paintbrushes are things we should be inflating....

 

i would agree with glass PB. Stone PB also will make a good choice, since both are retired.

 

I don't agree. Retired isn't the issue, it's about small quantity on shop. Well unless you are rich enough to buy all but 10 to 20 glass/stone paint brushes or willing to wait till they are that low in number on market. Even then they are not that useful so only those looking for a status symbol would buy it. Where as the map even at a high cost has huge returns over time. And really take a look at how few piece 9s there are compared to the paint brushes and you'll see why it's so easy to inflate that item.

 

i dont think petpet lab pieces will inflate..

I think that items that are rar/retired or are harder to get will inflate. Lab map pieces inflate cause they are rare to get in a something has happened event.

 

but you cannot evan use glass or stone paintbrushes! so that makes them useless.

i would say items that the neopians really cant go on without.
I think dubloons or codestones. Cause those are needed to train your pet. And a lot of people train their pet

well, it'd be hard, no doubt, to raise the price of commonly released items, as neopets can just release a bunch of them to decrease the price of it.

i'm still sticking with raising retired items.

 

Inflating the prices of cheap (around 50k) avvie petpets ? I have seen it happening with the snowbunny, they were 80k a few months back and are now 160k .

 

Well its true. But tnt can do it to any item if you think about it.
Some retired items dont increase much. You can see that with the glass/stone pb

 

yepp, but they'd more probably do that to the items that they presume are being inflated by us yes?

I'm not really certain what you mean by increase much. has anyone tried inflating those two items before?

 

i have to agree. there is no way you could do it with a current item. Retired is the way to go

 

the items you iflate are items that are at high demand. if there are not many in wiz and if they are usefull.
like lab maps change your pet with cool colors, pbs make your pet look good, avatar itemes get you avatars
