Hey there, I am new to the forum and I havnt glanced at any topics on workable topic. Inflation The overall general upward price movement of goods and services in an economy, usually as measured by the Consumer. We the consumer have the power to control and manipulate the neopian economy utilizing inflation. Snowbunnies over the past short period have gone upwards to 700k from 200-300k not long ago. This is because a small group of people are manually doing this because A) the Snowbunny is retired B) the Snowbunny is an avvy item and C) they require a year to use on a pet so they don't float in circulation. What does this group think about inflation? Has anyone ever attempted here? I personally stock up on any items that will get retired I.E. Books and Stamps from the advent calendar and war prizes. What about you peeps?
I've hoarded a few retired items and stuff I think will go up. It's usually a pretty solid long term investment. I've also tried to artificially inflate items like you suggested but failed because I picked a stupid item. (>_<) Artificially inflating items with a group of people is against the rules, I think, although I'm sure it goes on since it's hard to prove.
I had 5 of the meowclops avvie pet before they inflated to over 8mil... I bought them for 4mil before inflation, then sold them for 8.6mil each. Inflation rocks.
Yea I think I had one Meowclops because I though it looked cool and I was like I have a bunch of Neopoints so why not then I got double it was awesome But not as awesome as buying 10 shares of google the hour before the site was released, guess how much it went up from 5 cents?
I have an aged Snowbunny equipped on one of my pets at the moment, I could always detach it and sell it for a hefty profit. And I never expected the Meowclops to go up so much in price, luckily I bought one for the avatar and never sold it until now.
I hate how simple things can get up to several million. It's so hiiiigh. >< I'm a simple, poor person.
Zafara double agent plushies are going high around now. Basically every avataritem that has a prize over 1 mill. Just the FQD has kept its prize we might have to adjust that
its happening because people are willing to pay it. the FQD wont go up higher because the price cap is what ever its price at the HT is.
snowbunnies right now are the best items to inflate i think still only at like 500-600k and its just kept goin up in the past little while
Well, level 1 schemes don't do the average people much good, huh? We have to make our own schemes for now.
There there for a reason to stop neo seeing it and so people have to be active to be able to see it. But by active i mean posting regularly and not spamming.
It's fine by me if non level one users group together to inflate an item. The level one topic is pretty much dead anyways. If anyone wants to propose an item to inflate...
If we want to head up a small group of dedicated wealth to rise up the price of things, I will lead it. But if we can make it a small relatively private group that would be better. So neo doesnt catch wind and so other members dont abuse it. But thats up to the mods and I am still new so I doubt that I could get such a position or any priviledge like that.
Snowbunnies will top out soon, there are not many out there and I know people who are sitting on dozens of them.
It really -is- insane, a few hundred thousand for just a small bunny. Imagine if duping methods were still working, you'd be manufacturing money.
