I've had that happen once or twice in the past, but not since I've gotten a new laptop.

Something might be corrupting your AIM files. It wouldn't just be screwing up on its own accord.

I used to have problems with AIM, so I got Adium instead. It supports AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber, ICQ, and a lot of other messengers.

Edit: Oops, Adium is only for Mac users.

Is AIM worth getting? Or should I stick with MSN?

I stick to MSN, Aim is really a piece of junk. I think it's a lot harder to navigate then MSN and doesn't work how you want it to.

    Good thing I didn't upgrade already-crappy v5.x to even crappier v6.
