That if you have a neopet of Level 20 when you use the lab ray on it it can't go down to level 1?

I heard that once you hit like, Level 10++ the lab won't zap you back down to one. My pets level is I *think* 14, and I've never been zapped down to 1... I can't seem to find it online but I think I read somewhere that it's 10+

If you scroll down it says:
Do some pets get better results?
Not really, but high-level pets seems to be immune to two outcomes: They don't get "goes down to level 1" or "doesn't change at all". I don't know what level they become immune, some say 10, others claim to have it happen at level 50. I believe it's not a set level, just be a gradual lessening in probability thoughout the scale. What I do know is that in over two years of zapping, neither ever happened to my main pet, who was between level 26 and 60 at the time.

So I guess it's unknown really!

The chances are much lower when you're Level 20+, but it's not zero. I've been at level 20+ and zapped down to one.

Not true. I had a friend with a pet at level 182 and it got zapped back to 1. He was so devastated.

That's gotta hurt, going down 181 levels. He'd lose his berserk attack too. I haven't been zapped down to 1, but the lab ray is slowly taking away my levels....

Yes its true. That is why you shouldnt use the lab ray for training unless your pet is over level 20. You could still use it if you wanted to change species and/or colour, of course.

    hmm, if you say so.

i think it's really irritating if you waste a day on the usless stuff, like changing gender / nothing happens etc.

I think just like any random event, you don't know when or what will happen..

But it's not a random event, just a planned random outcome.

Everything I've heard on the BD chat says that pets over level 20 don't get sent back down to level one. I find it very hard to believe that a pet at level 180+ would have been zapped back to level one.. It must have been a glitch on the site. Why would TNT set it like that? It would just mean that people would quit the site after they got something like that. They know that would be what happens and that's why you don't get those kind of results once you get a higher level pet.

The only thing we don't know is the exact level it stops happening at

Pets which are over level twenty have a much smaller chance of being zapped down to level one, but there is stilla chance.

I've heard 20 and I've heard 50, but there is no way a level 180 got zapped back down to one. far to many big pets zap daily, cause they can't train anymore, and I've never heard of one going back to level one. and believe me, it would be all over the BDC if it did happen.
