I've gotten alot of iTunes errors and problems, the first thing to do is uninstall it and then download it again from itunes.com. You probably won't get the same error. However if you do, here are a few alternatives. If you are looking for a program to opperate with your ipod, yamipod (yamipod.com). If you are just looking for an mp4 organizer, you can download dbpowerramp.

Also, is this the error your getting?
The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (0x666D743F).

Nothing works at all? That's odd... make sure you have a new up to date Itunes version. Is there a log file anywhere? Probably not, eh? If there was you could tell us exactly what was wrong. But yeah, try re-installing but it doesn't appear to be a problem with Itunes, more a problem with your PC running it. Odd.
