Ay, I need a new laptop for some graphics design, but mainly Music Production. I can only afford 700 dollars, so if anybody has some suggestions, I'd like to hear them :D

I'd have to say go with HP. They have a good selections(price varies a lot) and they look pretty. :D Place all you can in memory and ram. there's my two cents.

Thanks! I was looking at HP last night, and the thing I hate about them is they don't come with a warranty.

I think warranties are overrated. :D
Just treat it nicely and you'll be okay. I have never had any software and hardware malfunctions so you should be okay.

    Correct.
I've heard bad things about acers. And I'm keeping Vista.

    there's nothing wrong with acer.

only thing is that, they purchased copy right of Windows from Microsoft.

so, the laptop don't come with restore disc and so on...

but you can make one yourself

Brand name means nothing in this market most parts are produced by the same people anyway.
Id recomend trying to find something with a beefy CPU and atleast 4GB of ram.

For this tpe of use though your best with a desktop.
