I want a completely simple router nothing complicated on it
    Cheap is preferred
I want it so I need a password to connect to it and for it to just be able to connect my computer to the internet
I don't want a linksys router because that is what I have and I do not like it so I'm looking for something more simple.

To have a password, use a wep key as long as it is not wired, or set up a mac filter, only ceratin pc can acces the router. And any router that has what you want will be similar to the linksys router. You'll be better of looking on teh web for information on the routers, not here.

Dude, don't listen to the second post dude.
Any router can have a password.

When you connect to your "default gateway", usually 192.169.10.1.
You can check if you goto "Start > run> and type "cmd" and hit ok. Then in the cmd prompt, type "ipconfig", and look for the number under "default gateway", and enter that ip address in your browser.
It should ask for login details. Usually admin//admin.

You can set everything in there.

I also suggest netgear. It's the most user friendly router iv ever seen.
