First thing i saw: 0 NP on the hand, former about 50k NP Event-Log: 3 succesfull Trades to a User named aceofc****** (Is it ok to post the full name? Then I'll edit this Message later) bank account: 0 NP, secured with PIN, former about 2.8 million NP password wasn't changed, PIN wasn't changed, eMail wasn't changed... So I reported to TNT, still waiting for an answer (I reported in german, my native language, any germans here knowing that TNT has german speaking employees? Or shall i report it again in english?)... 3 Trades with trade number are still in my event log. And I got the username. The hackers account looks like a side acc. 3 pet, all level 1 less then 100 Avatars, only a few games played.... What do you think... will i get my NPs back? What else can i do then reporting to TNT? Is there a way to see what was traded in trade no. xyz?
Did you give anyone your password ? Otherwise, you might want to rethink your password and your pin, which is probably your birthday. Other, you have a keylogger. And I don't think you'll get it back.
well, only my girlfriend knows my password and PIN... it had nothing to do with the account. Only with my real name, but i didn't use it for my igloo-account. the facts there were all imagined (is that the right english word?) I changed all after i recognized, it was hacked... But... I downloaded some programms from other Neopets sides, also a autobuyer, which didn't work. there i had to type in my pass and the pin... I presume, this programm mailed them to someone who used it now... is that possible? i think it is... but why do you think, they wont refund me? i got all facts to show them, and they can recognize, that the item i bought for, i think 800k NP, are only rubbish...
That did it probably. Luckily the ABers on this site are trustable, but never enter your pass anywhere except for on Neo.
Milanos is right. You used an aber that had a password stealer. All programs on this site are checked and verified by mods before they're available for download, so no worries on the programs here. Otherwise....sorry for your bad luck.
Keylogger to be exact due to the fact of the PIN number meaning it is also recordng ALL UR KEYSTROKESll INCLUDING CREDIT CARDS! Find and delete any programs NOW you'll be lucky if NP is all you've lost
Not a keylogger, but never use a program that requires your PIN. In fact, never use any neopets cheat programs other than those you find on this site, to be on the safe side.
that's what i thought too, when i tried that program. and i thought, i changed the pass afterwards... ok, I'll concentrate on the programms on this side
Yes it would, but he does have a point. If you are just googling, find a site with one ABer on it, and it asks for your pin and everything, you should never enter it.
Don't use any 'hacking' program ever and not expect to be hacked. This site is nice in that it has a community around it that acts as a buffer, i.e. 30 other people using the same program would have to miss the trojan/keylogger as well but still I'm wary. And we have no way of knowing if that program he downloaded was just a password grabber or a full blown trojan or something worse. My suggestion would be a full AV sweep now and a couple online AV sweeps and a process dump and one of those online cleansweep type forums. You can never be too careful if you use your computer for anything important.
Well, now I have Spyware Doctor installed. 13 Threats were found... like Adware, Trojan Horses and keyloggers... Well, i hope my NP will be all I'm going to loose...
latest news: no refund until now, but the other user doesn't seem to exist anymore. so he must be iced or deleted... when he's frozen i wonder, why i didn't get a refund... that wouldn't be fair...
TNT never ever, that I have heard of, gets items back for the users. Its sucks a lot. I'm sorry that happened to you, Ropi. Good luck getting everything back.
