So I need a solution. I have 512 mb Ram (and I'm going for a 4 GB RAM this summer) and always running registry cleaners.

    Here's a screeny of my processes :

Well I don't exactly what that exact process is but all computers should have one thing like that at all times Mine is called System Idle Process. You don't have to worry about it ;) All it means is your CPU ISN'T using anything lol. I always thought it was a dumb process but thats what its for. Yw B)

Oh I see your not using an english version of windows ? So those two processes are the same You should not worry about them at all

    You have a really clean processes' table <3 I wish I have one like your! ;__;
I have a 512mb RAM too, but I don't have always this problem :/ Only when I use particular programs or there are malwares activated .__.
Anyway Opera seems to be heavy... try to use Firefox instead.

What does it say at the bottom, under CPU Usage: x%?

This is what mine looks like:

It's at only 4%, and I have PSP, firefox, and two other windows open.

Yeah I use a Romanian Language Pack. Almost everytime i want to play something it runs kinda slowly and in wave-like the sound or the gameplay.

Currently, I'm fixing this problems with Registry Mechanic or Fast Defragmentation softwares.

most of the time regestry cleaners just make more problems than they solve. but there are two things that could help, both are invasive tho: reinstall windows (you'ld be surprised at how much that helps) or get a dual core cpu (that might not be possible if you have a factory made pc. ie dell, hp ect)

Registry cleaners don't often work, like you said.
But I wouldn't go around recommending reinstalling windows.
I did that on my old computer and my WiFi drivers stopped working -.-

it really does help performance though. at the cost of data loss but if you back most stuff up you should be fine

Clean installs are always a good thing as long as you are prepared for them and are willing to take the time.

The most likely reason for any single piece of hardware not working is due to a driver issue. It's most likely because it's 3rd party and not plug and play. Anyway I support clean installs.

And yes that 88% is idle processes, your computer is fine...well I assume anyway as I can't read the everything. Why did you feel you have a CPU problem...or just because of that number?

Oh online "fixes" that are free are usually scams. Don't touch your registry unless you really trust the company or know what you are doing.

The reason your programs are running slow is because you have way too little RAM for most things now days. Minimum system requirements are utter BS designed by marketing companies to hook in users even if their computers can't run the program. Always try to meet the recommended requirements at the least. I suggest at least 1gb of RAM and at a decent speed. cAS latency of at least 2.5 imo, definately none of that 4 stuff. If you're not sure what I'm talking about wikipedia it.

well, once every(almost) 2 sec the CPU bounces off the graphic.

I'm tempted to say this is normal behavior as when I'm idling on my computer the idle cpu jumps from 99 to 97/96% just due to nessisary background processes but if you are really worried do a free online virus scan

    Google:

    Trend Micro Housecall

    or

    Panda Online Scanner

    I've found them trustworthy

Having your CPU rate close to 100% isnt a bad thing like everyone thinks.
It just means your computer is working. Nothing more.
If it only stays near 4%, that means your only using 4% of your cpu. So it really doesn't matter, unless its stuck at 100%.

Also, I see your on XP. XP only reconizes 3 gigs of ram, so 4 gigs of ram is totally useless, and the last gig wont be used.
