My xp have been restarting itself occasionally before, however in the past few days it has become a frequent problem, i already turned off the automatically restart option and on the blue screen this is what i get: STOP: 0X00000050 (0XF9EDF0DA, 0X0000000, 0X804DABC3, 0X000000) this message changed too, before the 0XF9EDF0DA was different but the other parts remains the same any help would be high appreciated! i don't know anything about those codes -.-
If your getting some BSOD, there's a high chance you have some hardware problem... as for a solution, there's not much you can do but to change the faulty piece... The last time I got that problem, I had just installed a new 512 RAM and the piece wasn't working right and was causing major system issue.
hm..i'll try that...I'm having the same problem too! was ab-ing and it went off...lol.. one more thing...when i switch on my computer, and when it reaches the desktop, it restarts too...then, after restarting once, it will again.. usually after 2 restarts...my comp then can function properly.. xD Is this the same problem?
try cleaning your pc.. or remove your memory and clean it reslot again your memory.. check also the temperature of your processor and your power supply output...
Whenever i have a serious issue with something i just go to system restore: Go to the start button, then all programs, then accessories, then system tools, and then you'll find system restore. Click a date about a month or so back and it wil restart your computer to that state. its worked for me a bunch of times.
I experienced that before.. try to follow yeng's suggestion first, if there is still a problem and still restarting and a blue screen appears.. you reformat your pc and make sure you install the hardwares correctly.
I cleaned the fan, so much dust there, I asked around several tech forums and they said my minidumps showed that my pc's been infected -.- now im running an in depth virus scan using several cleaners, hope the problem shall be solved >< If not then i will try the system restore method
They're expensive (at least where I live), and you can probably fix the problem either by a virus scanner and ad-ware scanner, or by simply wiping the harddrive, and re-installing windows. That'll almost ALWAYS work, unless your entire system is blown.
haha i went on this tech forum where everyone is a pro at fixing these stuff anyways, my comp is all fixed now, i had so much junk on my start menu and just have to remove some corrupted files XD
