just curious, does anyone else play Neo Quest II? im on the lost desert chapter at level 30 Also I was wondering if it is a complete waste of time to play on normal mode, can you skip straight to insane? cause i def want some of the insane prizes
You can't skip any levels unfortunately. But it's a great game, and in time you'll get great prizes. The prizes for the normal level aren'tvery good though. Be sure not to spend any points on group damage (Mipsy) or Group Healing (the slimey guy). Focuse on damage, time and critical on Rohane. Direct Damage, time boosts and time with Mipsy. Slowing, Direct and time on what'shisnametheeagle. And Healing, time and defensive barriers with slimeguy
Lol at Virre. Talinia and Velm. I'm on Insane right now, it's so hard. It just takes forever to get to a good level and I'm going through healing potions so fast, plus I only get one healing potion for every 5 to 10 monsters. Still in Chapter 1. Grrr.
A way to not use as many potions is to train in normal mode, not hunting mode. It may take a little while longer, but you do gain health points for every step you take. I think you gain hp for 6 steps, and depending on the level, how many hps. Since you're on Chapter 1, it's probably just 1. What I did was train a lot! and eventually the potions do stack up. I reckon it's the hardest to train in the 1st and 2nd act, because you don't have Velm to heal you, or as many people to back you up. If it isn't too late, do NOT sell your Father's sword. It's the best sword to use against Terask II, but you have to max out critical attack and damage increase. I'd suggest this page, i've referred it to people before http://geocities.com/neoquest_2/ When you get up to the last act, it'd be best not to spend all your points. You should only spend all your points when you beat Terask I. That way you can use the points for areas that aren't maxed out by your armour or weapons. Rohane: If you have the Father's Sword Critical attack: max out Increase damage: max out Combat focus: none Stunning Strikes: a few points, they can be handy, but not necessary Battle taunt: none (some people like putting points on battle taunt, and just get Velm to constantly heal Rohane, but I think it's a waste of time) Innate Magic Resistance: max out, make sure you don't waste points by looking at your armour bonuses innate melee haste: max out Mipsy: Direct damage: maxout Group Direct Damage: None Group Haste: Max out Slowing: None. I usually use potions for this Damage shields: None, but will put points on this towards the end if i have spare points left after Terask Innate melee defence: max out Innate casting defence: max out Talinia: Increased bow damage: max out Multiple targets: I usually put 1 on this. Not necessary, but pretty good to have Ranged attacks: This is one you'd want to max out. It's a really handy one, and it's one of the few slowing ones that works against king terask II. Shockwave: good to have, but not necessary. Probably better to put it in ranged attacks. Slowing strikes: None, this is a pretty useless ability Innate melee haste: max out Innate magic defence: max out Velm: Healing: Max out Group Healing: none. I have never found group healing to be that great. Especially against King Terask II, suppose everyone is hurt, and you cast it, it takes a long time for Velm to recover. You should rely on Healing, or if need be, potions. Group Shielding: max out Mesmerization: 1 or 2. This is pretty good when you get attacked by 4 or more guys. Try to use it after talinia's multiple targets attack Celestial Hammer: I usually put one point in it. Pretty much used when there's one enemy left, your whole party is healed, and velm has nothing to do. Innate melee defence: max out Innate casting haste: max out ...and that's my two cents
You, know, I've beaten Nq2 on normal. Then on the next lvl., I died to the first lupe i saw!!!!! It gets much harder every time. I for one am content with the prizes in normal
