Well, it looks like TNT is planning on releasing another new feature soon called NeoVision. Apparently, we'll soon be able to submit videos to the site. At the moment, it's in beta-testing mode for premium users only, but should be released to the general population soon.

Here are the rules they have posted on the submission page:

Keep in mind these simple rules when you submit your videos for streaming on this site and related sites.

    1. Your video must be about Neopia. We know you have a lot of other interests but we don't. We live and breath Neopets and we only want to watch videos about Neopets.
    2. Remember the audience. All ages and types visit Neopia and so the content must be appropriate for everyone. Think G rated movie fun. Anything prohibited on the Neoboards is also prohibited in your videos.
    3. No faces. Okay, so you are good looking/cute/handsome, etc. So are we. But this is not the place to launch your acting career.
    4. No logos nor trademarks of other companies. We certainly like our NEOPETS mark, but we hate to see other companies' names in videos.
    5. Nothing that identifies where you live on earth. No school names, street addresses or town names. Remember Rule 1 - your school does not exist on Neopia (and aren't you glad!).
    6. Only your own music. If you didn't write and perform the music in your video, don't submit it. We know you are creative and musical and talented, so prove it in your video.

    It also says:

We only accept the following video formats: .mov, .qt, .mpeg2, .mpeg4, .mpeg, .avi, .wmv, .3gp, and .3gpp
NOTE: The video clip can not exceed 20mb in file size

Update: There is also a long list of Terms and Conditions you must accept before submitting a video. They should be viewable by ALL users here: http://www.neopets.com/video/agreement.phtml Although, I doubt very many people will read the entire thing. I'm just putting it out there for those that are curious.

All of these new features and layout, as well as being chain iced again has caused me to quit playing. The game was fine as it was, I see no point in changing it.

I think it's time consuming to produce the videos since you must obey all the rules.

    But I dont get it...

Why would anyone want to submit a video?
Pretty muuch the only thing you are able to do is film yourself browsing the site, and put it up... :?

I have been fine with the changes to neopets so far... but this is ridiculous!! What on earth are TNT thinking?? There is absolutely no need for posting videos

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't know why they chose to even release such a feature. It seems to me that this is just more work for them considering the fact that they'll have to sift through every single video to make sure it's suitable for all ages. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Why make things harder on yourself?

Change is good in moderation, in excess, it just throws things off balance. Maybe they should at least give people some time to calm down about the new layout and the redraws before they start bombarding us with more changes.

Edit: And as an afterthought, I just want to add that I think Neopets is trying to hard to modernize their website and "get with the times". It seems that they are forgetting that they had millions of users before they decided to perform major reconstructive surgery. It just kind of seems over-commercialized now... kinda like Christmas. :p

well we're looking at a major revamp here, since they wana create the impression that they've done that, they try to add weird bits and pieces here and there which people just don't see the use for as of now. when the bdome 1st came out it was rubbish too.

but you know this might be a good thing it's gonna take a lot of time to look at all the vids so they might be able to overlook us doing things like autobuying the more they have to keep tab's on. so they may not notice us as often they will be too busy.

I think TNT are trying to hard to attract more players and prevent other players from quitting. However, after the changes TNT has made, things got out of hand and people are leaving, not according to what TNT has planned.

the big loud mouthed idiots on the chat boards can leave for all neo care. The amount of newbs this will introduce will be much more beneficial to TNT. so its for the good.

i just don't see why people go there i mean it has no reason you post a topic and time you get back to the main page it's half way down the screen. they need to make it so people can only make so many topics per hour.

This sounds incredibly stupid. What exactly is allowed to be done for crying out loud?

Seriously. It will be tutorials on things like. 'How to spin the Neopia Globe'.

Sounds really stupid. Why put a video up on neopets when you can put videos on myspace or youtube with much more freedom. I take it they'll bribe people to put up their crappy videos for trophies or neopoints. This sounds extremely lame though, I wouldn't participate.
