meh... i dunno, i think apple's just trying to capitalize on the realease of the iphone. i've had my ipod for a year and i'm perfectly happy with it. i'm not gonna go out and buy a new one, even though they do look pretty sharp.

lol yep what he said basically

it seems like apple adds in a small new feature, changes the look, gives it a new name, and the voila hello revenue

and i like the ipod touch the most because its new, and they made it so i would actually consider getting a nano, but i agree with you on the classic, they didnt change anything really except some small things

haha... why does everyone always think i'm a guy? is it the halo sig? maybe i should change it to paris hilton. :) gag.

yeah... i never really liked the nanos. didn't they have to remake them because of some defect, anyway?

i guess it was pretty smart of them to put a browser on the ipod, though. if i had a dollar for every time i've ridden the bus and had music but not something to actually DO to pass the time, i'd be rich enough to actually buy one of the new ipods if i didn't already have devices that could do all the same things. i really dig the whole touchscreen idea, too. it's pretty sleek. except... you know, the screen would get all smudgy and covered in fingerprints in no time flat if you didn't take care of it. D:

I've seen it and thought is wasthe stupidest thing. Touch screen is pretty tricky since it can be very sensitive and smudgy and the cleaning. People might as well stick to the one they got if it got the battery life of the i-phone. I would be surprised if it sells well.

I detest apple and all of the ipod products. There are plenty of other decent mp3 players out there that are a lot cheaper and do exactly the same thing as an ipod. Although a touch screen is pretty cool idea, I am sure other companies will put this idea onto their own products and sell at a cheaper price. I would hold out for one of those personally. But that is just me.

The nano first gen has round corners and the nano second gen has square corners.

I bought the first gen because of the round corners.

I gave it to my friend.

I will not purchase another one because, well.. I don't wanna!

I agree, just wait it out a bit and get a cheaper ipod or a different companies version of it.
They do look amazing. But a price tag of $200 to $300 is too much.

I agree. I have a pocket PC and it's like that...I clean it constantly and it's still never spotless.

I honestly wouldn't mind having one of those iPod Touch things but like a few people said, there's tons of similar products out there for way less. And I'm sure in a few months, the price for these will drop anyway. :p

I <3 the iPod touch, finally an mp3 (mp4?) player with a touchscreen.
I didn't like the iPod when it first came out, basicly because of the bad design (I still hate it), but the iPod touch is so clean :)
Especially welcomed here in Europe since we won't be getting iPhone until next year, and even more welcomed by those of use that barely use cell phones for anything else than calling or sending text messages.
More touchscreen to the people, the era of buttons is soon to end.

edit; Thought I should add that my mp4 player was stolen this summer and I just got a new job. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably hate iPod touch but now I'll actually be able to afford it and have a reason to buy it. If I still had a working mp3 or mp4 player, I wouldn't bother :D

Im gonna go with...no. I am going to get a new ipod though. But not any of the ones that yall have mentioned....im sticking with getting the 80gig. My ipod is kinda full...and its old and falling apart...and i use it ALL the time...so i have reason. staying away from the touch though...my needs won't be suited.
