I was looking through the Neopet choices and thought, 'There's not enough choices. They could be more creative then THAT.' For example: Maybe, a Panther neopet. Or, a Scorpion Neopet. Basically, this post is for people who want to share their species of Neopet Ideas.
Im not sure I would like that much maybe new colors and such but im pretty sure any addition to the neopets species would be pretty strange. Besides it takes TNT flipping well forever to create new things and and such adding a new neopet plus the coding and such would probably take them years lol. But IF they didn't take so long to create things and found a way to make it seem less strange then I think maybe something along the lines of a meercat or some other small creature?
There's already the Draik, Shoyru and Scorchio. Haha enough with the dragons. Krawks if you count them as wingless Dragons.
Neopets.com was too busy redoing every character they already have for customization. & I don't think they will see another pet in a long time. Unless they can make money out of it (like lutari) & the panter is like kougra. Its based on all cat species.

Neopets have kinda of run out of animals to base pets on. Unless they go back to basics and make original looking ones, like chias, kikos and acaras.

True. Because every other animal they based on is already a petpet. Snails, worms, pigs. Every animal is a petpet. And to make it look like a pet is really hard Although i reckon that Tnt wouldnt do that just to please someone. Perhaps they will invent something around it ; that gives them something in return.
I absolutely love that page I had it book marked for the longest time. And I agree with you as well. We don't need more species. I mean if we get much more we're just going to end up with repeats of it all. Maybe if there were less petpets they could have used their petpet ideas for pets, but I think that time is too late. More colours would be prime however. Making each paintbrush's capability expand to more pets, as well as creating new paintbrushes. I remember when they had the polls for the paintbrushes that the Baby and Pirate pb ended up winning and coming into existance. Something that involved the users more and some new content would be great.
More paintbrushes wouldn't do much (at least for me). They need to make an option where you can create a pet as "converted" or "unconverted."
Whoa, that petpage is amazing. +.+ However, I also really doubt there'll be any new species until the next redraw...after all, TNT's stated in their editorials that they don't want 2 different types of pets floating around in Neopia, but at this point they can't auto-convert everything (or else the veterans who do unlimited customs on VWN BD pets for UC Royals/Plushies won't be too happy...). So until the current C and UC neopets all get redrawn again, I doubt there'll be much pet-related content. :/ More paint brushes would be pretty cool, though. (Customization deluxe.) Species ideas...hm, must think of an animal that hasn't been used for a pet or a petpet. Maybe TNT WILL release NeoPlants, after all.
Lol they have no mice if IIRC.. Thought of Pikachu lol. That would be kinda cool. Electric painted Mouse (whatever they end up calling it) = Pikachu xD
They defs have mouse petpets, but an actual mouse pet would be kind of cool. I want a lamprey pet. I know, I know, it's in practically petpet form too. But intestines are freaking petpets. Just think of how cute the girl lampreypets would look with burlesque eyelashes and sucker mouths full of fangs.
